Scoring System

Hey all!

Before I upload my first actual post, I want to provide a guide for the GBM Scoring System. All subjects of reviews will be assigned a 0 to 10 score in five categories, with a 0 to 50 total.

The first category is Hype Score. This is based on how well the subject lives up to the hype and the promotion. In order to get a high score here, the product must be considered above expectations.

The second category is Production Score. This is based on how well the subject is made. In order to get a high score here, the product must be well made, with few mistakes. These mistakes must also be minor and inconspicuous.

The third category is Effectiveness Score. This is based on how well the subject delivers its content or does its job. In order to get a high score here, the product must cover as many bases as possible, in order to meet consumer expectations, similar to the Hype Score.

The fourth category is Innovation Score. This is based on the new features or aspects the product presents. In order to get a high score here, the product must include something that sets it apart from competition or past versions.

The fifth and final category is Opinion Score. This is the most subjective because it is based on what overall 0 to 10 score I give the subject, based on everything that I experience. In order to get a high score here, the product must impress and satisfy me.

A total under 10 can be considered Really Bad
A total from 10 to 20 can be considered Bad
A total from 20 to 30 can be considered Could Be Better
A total from 30 to 40 can be considered Decent Product
A total from 40 to 45 can be considered Great Product
And a total from 45 to 50 can be considered Top of Its Field

Hopefully this enables you all to understand my methods and get a good sense for how well something does in its specific field.

Saberdragon Out!
